Questions
Are you doctors or nurses?
No. We’re patient advocates: we handle the calls, paperwork and follow-up so you get care. We don’t give medical advice. For an emergency, call 911, and for a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
Will you call me?
We don’t make you pick up the phone. Everything happens in your secure chat with your advocate, and we’ll text or email you when there’s a new message. You’ll also get appointment reminders the way you choose.
Who does the work?
Your own dedicated patient advocate. They call the doctors’ offices, insurance companies and pharmacies for you, document every call, and keep you updated in one conversation.
Is this concierge medicine?
Not exactly. Concierge medicine is a doctor’s practice with a membership fee. We’re the concierge for everything around your care: booking, insurance, bills, records and follow-up. Your doctors stay your doctors, and we don’t provide medical care.
Can I include my parents?
Yes. Pair and Family plans cover anyone in your household you help with care, including a parent. Concierge also covers a parent who lives somewhere else. Adults sign their own permission form so offices can talk to us.
Is my information safe?
Your insurance numbers, documents and health profiles are encrypted, sign-in uses a password plus a code on new devices, and every time our team opens your information, it’s logged. We only share what you’ve authorized.
Do you work with my insurance?
We work with any insurance plan, and we don’t sell insurance. Part of our job is making the coverage you already have work for you.
How fast will I hear back?
By the next business day (Monday to Friday), and often sooner. Concierge members get same-day replies on weekdays.
Is there a limit on how much you’ll help?
No. Ask us whenever something comes up, as often as you need. Your membership covers your household’s health-care to-dos, big or small.
Can I give a membership as a gift?
Yes. Gift a year of any membership to a parent, a new mom or anyone with too much on their plate. You pay; they set up their own account and their health information stays private to them. Start at mendwayhealth.com/gift.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. Your membership stays active through the month or year you’ve paid for. Yearly members get a reminder 30 days before renewing.
