How we protect your family's information
Mendway Health is a patient advocacy service that works for you, not for your doctors or insurance company. Here's what we collect, why, and how we keep it safe.
What we collect
Your contact details; the names and dates of birth of the people we book for; the appointments you ask for; and, if you add it, your insurance company, member ID and group number. We never ask for Social Security numbers or payment card numbers.
How we use it
Only to handle your requests: calling offices and insurers for you, booking and changing appointments, and keeping you updated. We share only what an office or insurer needs for that request. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
About HIPAA
HIPAA is the federal law that governs how doctors, health plans and their vendors handle health information. Because we work for you rather than for them, HIPAA doesn't apply to us directly. We still follow its spirit: we only ask offices for information with your signed authorization, and you can revoke it at any time from your account.
How we keep it safe
Insurance member IDs, group numbers and card photos are encrypted, and each time a team member views them it's recorded. Only our trained team can see your information, and only to work on your requests.
Your choices
You can see and update your details, revoke an authorization, or remove your insurance numbers anytime in your account. To have your information deleted, write to hello@mendwayhealth.com or Mendway Health, 9620 S Las Vegas Blvd, Suite E4 #1146, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
